PTI Transformers Donates $1 Million to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan’s Provincial Breast Screening Campaign

Regina, SK – The Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan is proud to announce a generous $1 million donation from PTI Transformers to the Saskatchewan Breast Screening Campaign. This significant gift will fund the purchase of two new state-of-the-art digital mammography machines, one for each of the permanent screening sites in Regina and Saskatoon.

These additional digital breast screening mammography machines will enhance early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, a crucial step in improving treatment outcomes and saving lives for women in Saskatchewan.

“We are honoured to be in the position to donate two new state-of-the-art mammogram machines for Saskatchewan,” say George Jr Partyka, CEO of PTI Transformers. “Breast cancer affects so many women, our family included. This donation will help to significantly increase diagnostic capacity in the province and contribute to more favourable outcomes for the women in our lives that matter to us the most!”

“We are deeply thankful to PTI Transformers for this remarkable contribution,” said Nora Yeates, CEO of the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan. “This donation will help save lives by giving women in our province access to the most advanced breast cancer screening tools available. PTI’s generosity strengthens our ability to improve early detection and ensures more women have access to the care they need.”

PTI Transformers’ gift was received as part of the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan’s $3.2 million campaign for the purchase of the two digital mammography machines, a fully equipped second mobile screening unit, and a sports utility vehicle to transport staff to the mobile unit site. The campaign is needed as the province prepares for the expansion of the breast screening program, which will take effect through a phased approach that will gradually reduce the age eligibility from women aged 50 years to include women aged 40 and over.

PTI Transformers, a leader in the transformer manufacturing industry, has a longstanding commitment to community support and social responsibility. This $1 million gift reflects their dedication to improving health outcomes and giving back to the communities they serve.
