Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer
Saturday, May 25th, 2024
The Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer head-shaving event started in 1998. It began when Brayden Ottenbreit, a young boy from Yorkton, was diagnosed with cancer before his fourth birthday. To support him, his dad Greg, his uncle Grant, and a group of friends decided to shave their heads. Since then, Brayden Ottenbreit Close Cuts for Cancer has raised over $1,000,000 for local cancer initiatives.
Over the last eight years, more than $826,000 has gone to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan to support cancer research conducted by the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency in the province.
