Stewart and Gilda’s Story
For Stewart Graham and Gilda Treleaven-Graham of Regina, giving back to the health care system is very important. Their motivations are rooted in their own experiences. Gilda lost her first husband to heart complications. Stewart lost his first wife after a long battle with breast cancer.
“Because of our experiences, we strongly believe it’s important to give back for the care we received for our spouses and recently for ourselves,” say the Grahams. “Only in this way will our system be able to continue to support others who have experienced situations like ours.”
They also strongly believe in ensuring their donated dollars have an impact locally, and were pleased to see the creation of the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan. The Foundation is the only charity dedicated to enhancing cancer care in Saskatchewan. “It is a big plus that the funds raised stay right here in Saskatchewan.”
“When we heard about the 4D CT Simulator Community Campaign and the great need, we immediately thought this was a worthwhile project. We believed our support would assist others in receiving the same care as we have over the years.”
