Arie’s Story
Arie Van Duyvendyk is the founder of Dutch Growers Garden Centre in Saskatoon. He is the proud father of 6 children he raised in the business alongside his beautiful wife, Adrie. This year the garden center celebrated their 70th anniversary!
Arie knows the burden of cancer and has always been an avid supporter of the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. In fact, for 13 years, Dutch Growers Saskatoon has been the gorgeous venue of many fashion shows and galas in support of Choc’laCure and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. Since 2007, more than $3 million has been raised through Choc’laCure with 100% of the money going towards purchasing equipment used in the treatment of men, women and children at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
This year, in honour of Choc’laCure, Arie has made a $50,000 donation to help replace the Breast Screening Bus. A tremendous donation that will benefit thousands of patients going through care and treatment.
